The history of Facility Management is the history of HSG Zander
HSG Zander is formed by the merger of two pioneering companies in Facility Management: HSG and M + W Zander.
Right back in the 1970s, the employees of the construction company Philipp Holzmann AG performed turnkey construction and maintenance projects in the Middle East. The demand for this activity led to the creation of a subsidiary devoted to Facility Management called HSG. It quickly became one of the most important in Germany.
In parallel, the companies Meissner + Wurst and Zander became specialized in Facility Management coming from different origins. After various mergers and takeovers, the company M+W Zander was created in 2002. This company concentrated an important Facility Management market share in Germany and the rest of Europe.
Finally, in 2008 the merger of HSG and M+W Zander within the framework of the Bilfinger Berger AG Group allowed the new company HSG Zander to become the absolute leader in Germany and a benchmark company on an international level.
